I did not use the X52 in any game until I was happy with that set up. Going on the memory, I think I altered a couple of 'binds' for the 'flick state' buttons on the stick and I seem to remember that I had to change a bind to use the covered safe / fire button to my liking.īefore I used the X52 in any game I installed not just a driver but a Logitech / Saiteck tool that allows calibration and full control over the stick and thrust. When I used my X52 on my older desktop, if memory serves, there was a built in to the game profile that works very well and the X52 works smoothly in game. I have the silver / blue and black version of the Logitech G Saitek X52 Flight Control System not the all black PRO version. Its awesome and it will make E: D even better. Not gonna be much help as I'm playing on laptop mouse and keys temporarily. I've slowly worked through it as I found that I was still needing keys on the keyboard, now I only use the keyboard for typing in the chat. In mode 3, the same button on the stick is set to click 'z' to toggle assist off.

So for example, I have the number 7 key mapped to 75% throttle in the game, and when in mode 1, one of the buttons is set to click 7. To set up the mode switches its pretty straight forward once you have your head around it, but it will involve remapping some of the controls in the game to a key, then mapping that key to the button on the controller. There are a couple of gotchas, but a search will find you the solutions to those (clutch button setting and shift key). The trick to it is to stick with the standard bindings to start with (just choose it from the drop down in the controller options) and play around.

I have just set up the mode switches to have a few of the buttons do different things when you flick it.
